Volcanic Interior

Monuriki measures approximately 1 kilometer long and 600 meters wide. Most of this landmass consists of dense dry forest and steep volcanic rock. Environmental rules dictate how you can access this zone.

You cannot explore the interior forest unguided. Visitors must stick to the beach and designated paths to avoid damaging the iguana habitats. Always listen to your tour guide before heading inland.
